This gentle, subdued blue carries deep cultural and spiritual meaning within Indian traditions. When used in transparent mediums, it can achieve rich, dark saturation. The pigment's behavior with white varies significantly - it maintains its blue character in moderate white mixtures but shifts toward pale gray when white dominates the blend. Previously known as SOF Blue, this pigment is currently produced by the heritage manufacturer Ocres de France.
