Tiny White Poppies in Oil - Original Painting in Gold Frame

I absolutely love painting these delicate white poppies! There's something so peaceful about the way their petals catch the light against a deep blue sky. This little painting might be small, but it packs such a punch of color and serenity.
I painted this on a 2.5" x 3.5" canvas using oils, which let me get those really rich, creamy whites in the petals and that gorgeous deep cobalt blue background. The contrast just makes my heart happy every time I look at it. You can see the dark poppy seed pods too - I love including those because they add such interesting texture and tell the whole story of the flower.

About this painting:
